Rules for Firearms Purchasing at MCX Henderson Hall

• DoD ID with Exchange privileges AND a Virginia Driver’s License at least 30 days old with a current updated address.

OR

• DoD ID, PCS Orders to any Command in Virginia (Not Washington, DC) AND one recent address confirmation stating you’re a Virginia resident.

OR

• DoD ID, Leave & Earning Statement AND one address confirmation stating you’re a Virginia resident.
• Examples of address confirmations: Utility bill such as Power/Water/Gas, Voter’s ID, Vehicle Registration, Hunting or Fishing License, Carry Conceal Permit, Marriage Certificate, Banking Statement, Property or Real Estate Taxes, or an Internet Bill. Lease Agreements Not Eligible.
• PCS Orders to WASHINGTON, DC must have THE PENTAGON listed.
• Reservists that are temporarily stationed in the Commonwealth of Virginia May Not purchase handguns.
• Web Orders are NOT accepted. Original Orders Only with Order # listed.

Out-of-State Customers:

• You may purchase Long Guns (not handguns) with your Military I.D., valid driver’s licenses or state issued ID card with photo, AND two forms of address confirmation - Long Gun must be legal in the state you reside.
• Maryland residents – Cannot purchase firearms due to Maryland State Laws and the capacity rounds of our magazines. Please speak with an associate about possible military locations in Maryland that you may purchase firearms from, if interested.
• Washington, DC residents may purchase a rifle or shotgun (not handguns), if they have a letter of approval from the Metropolitan Police Department.

It is our privilege to provide the goods you need and want, the programs that benefit your quality of life, and the facilities that make you proud to be associated with Henderson Hall. Our mission is simple: to support Marines and their families. We do that through the dedicated service of our MCCS employees.

The Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) has been proudly serving Marines and their families since 1897. Henderson Hall began Exchange operations in 1943. Henderson Hall offers an extraordinary three level MCX, which was renovated in 2014 and expanded to include new departments. The MCX has a large variety of goods and products throughout the sprawling three story facility. You will be sure to find what you need, and our dedicated customer associates are on hand to assist you at all times.

We always remind our patrons that profits generated at Henderson Hall stay at Henderson Hall to support quality-of-life initiatives for our Marines, Sailors, and their families. Carrying out those quality-of-life programs are the staff within Marine & Family and our Semper Fit divisions. Marine & Family programs are located in Bldg. 12 near the newly renovated Car Wash and at the Battalion Headquarters in Building 29; Semper Fit administrative offices are located in Bldg. 29, supporting their recreation staff at the surrounding facilities.
