Step one is the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course eligible to Servicemembers (including members of the National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses. This course is instructed by SBA and its partners who are skilled business advisors.
Step two is an eight–week online Foundations of Entrepreneurship course instructed by a consortium of professors and practioners led by the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University.

Capstone is the culmination and mandatory component of the Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS) process. Commanders, or commanders' designees, verify that service members have met the Career Readiness Standards (CRS) and have a viable Individual Transition Plan (ITP). The purpose of the Capstone event is to evaluate service member's preparedness to successfully transition from a military to a civilian career.
Upon completion of the appointment, the Transition Readiness staff will send the Commander (or designee) an email token notification that you are ready for your final Commander's Verification appointment. You will have access to your printable DD Form 2648 eForm only after the Commander (or designee) has electronically signed the form upon completion of your Commander's Verification appointment.
Capstone Review (recommended no later than 120 days from EAS), is where you and the Transition Readiness staff verify that you have met Career Readiness Standards (CRS) and Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Compliance, and are ready for the final meeting with the Commander (or designee). Upon completion of the appointment, the Transition Readiness staff will send the Commander (or designee) a token email notification that you are ready for your final Commander's Verification appointment. You will have access to your printable DD Form 2648 eForm only after the Commander (or designee) has electronically signed the form upon completion of your Commander's Verification appointment.
Following attendance to all required Transition Readiness Seminar (TRS) courses, the next step is the Capstone event. Capstone occurs in two stages: Capstone Review and Commander’s Verification. The Capstone Review must be completed NLT 120 days from EAS date. At Capstone Review the CRMC verifies that you have met CRS and all TRS requirements and are ready for the final meeting with the commander or designee. Upon completion of the Capstone Review appointment, the CRMC will send the commander or designee a token email notification validating that you are ready for your final Commander’s Verification appointment. You will need to connect with your UTC to receive guidance on scheduling and completing your Commander’s Verification. You will have access to your printable DD Form 2648 eForm only after the commander or designee has electronically signed the eForm upon completion of your Commander’s Verification appointment.
