A collection of classes, workshops, and events are offered to enhance your life in multiple areas. Subjects that are offered include anger management, stress management, communication, conflict resolution, relationship enhancement and parenting.

Classes

All workshops are provided by Behavioral Health at Henderson Hall. The workshops are open to all active duty service members, spouses, family members and retirees.

 

Century Anger Management Workshop

Learn eight anger control tools before it’s too late! Workshops meet Thursday afternoons at Henderson Hall from 1:00–3:00 pm unless otherwise noted. Topics include dealing with stress, empathy, learning to respond differently to situations, identifying negative self talk, communication skills, adjusting expectations, time outs, and forgiveness. Participants must complete eight sessions to receive a certificate of completion. Registration is required and referrals are welcome! Open to all active duty personnel, family members, and retirees.Workshops are available as unit PMEs upon request. Registration is required.

R.I.S.E. Support Group

This group is for individuals seeking a safe place to discuss and receive support regarding relationship patterns that are causing you to feel isolated, belittled,  controlled, or unsafe. Henderson Hall FAP Staff will facilitate discussions. Open to all DoD uniformed personnel and those who are able to be seen at a military treatment facility.

Warrior Maintenance: Stress Management for Marines & Families

An eight session stress management class designed to teach healthy strategies to manage stress. Learn effective techniques to handle stressors, communicate, and overcome challenges that may interfere with stress management.

How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerkette:
A Healthy Relationships Class

The workshop focuses on how to follow your heart while not minimizing and overlooking problems that are evident early in a relationship. Learn how to identify early on the behaviors that are red flags for future conflict, and emphasizes five crucial areas to explore with a dating partner. Workshops are offered at Henderson Hall and can be arranged at additional installations as Unit PME’s at the convenience of the Command. Registration is required.

Married & Loving It!®

Married and Loving It® is a full day workshop designed for newly engaged, recently married couples, or long-term established couples. Couples should plan to attend together to get the most out of the topics covered. Class is open to DoD ID card holders and may be offered at different installations and times upon request. Registration is required.
