A collection of classes, workshops, and events are offered to enhance your life in multiple areas. Subjects that are offered include anger management, stress management, communication, conflict resolution, relationship enhancement and parenting.

Classes

All workshops are provided by Behavioral Health at Henderson Hall. The workshops are open to all active duty service members, spouses, family members and retirees.

 

Devil Dog De-Escalation

An 8 class series that provides skills on how to identify triggers and stressors that impact our mental well-being, perceptions of situations, and ability to control our reactions and emotions. This class teaches individuals healthy and constructive communication skills and ways to manage stress and cope with feelings with frustration.

Ther benefits:

R.I.S.E. Support Group

This group is for individuals seeking a safe place to discuss and receive support regarding relationship patterns that are causing you to feel isolated, belittled,  controlled, or unsafe. Henderson Hall FAP Staff will facilitate discussions. Open to all DoD uniformed personnel and those who are able to be seen at a military treatment facility.

Warrior Maintenance: Stress Management for Marines & Families

An eight session stress management class designed to teach healthy strategies to manage stress. Learn effective techniques to handle stressors, communicate, and overcome challenges that may interfere with stress management.

How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerkette:
A Healthy Relationships Class

The workshop focuses on how to follow your heart while not minimizing and overlooking problems that are evident early in a relationship. Learn how to identify early on the behaviors that are red flags for future conflict, and emphasizes five crucial areas to explore with a dating partner. Workshops are offered at Henderson Hall and can be arranged at additional installations as Unit PME’s at the convenience of the Command. Registration is required.

The Gottman Seven Principles Program

A nine-session marital enrichment course designed for couples to attend together. Class topics are derived from Dr. Gottman’s book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This bestseller provides an overview of the concepts, behaviors, and skills that guide couples on the path toward a harmonious and long-lasting relationship.
