The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) helps military parents, including expectant parents, to increase their parenting skills so they can provide a nurturing environment for their children. The NPSP professional home visitors are Registered Nurses and Licensed Social Workers who provide supportive and caring services to military families. NPSP services are free, voluntary & confidential.

Through home visits, support groups, and parenting classes—including Baby Boot Camp - NPSP can help families cope with stress, isolation, deployment/post-deployment issues, and improve parenting skills.

Whether you are an expecting parent or have been raising your family for a few years, new challenges always arise. NPSP offers you the opportunity to express your concerns and ask questions about babies, young children, family relationships, and parenting skills. Contact NPSP at 703-614-7204.

Postpartum Support International
The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. Approximately 15% of all women will experience postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Up to 10% will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. When the mental health of the mother is compromised, it affects the entire family.
