Deployment Doll Workshop

Deployment is difficult for the entire family, especially children. The Deployment Doll Workshop offers individual Marines or whole units the ability to request handmade deployment dolls featuring their service member. The intent of the workshop is to support military-connected youth of all ages with emotional challenges commonly experiences during a loved one’s deployment. By providing a tool to assist with coping, Marine Corps Family Team Building aims to support all patrons in navigating deployment with tools for preparedness, open communication, and overall success.

  • Service members can request personalized deployment dolls for dependents, siblings, or special extended family that would benefit from a token of love through deployment. Children do not have to be official enrolled in DEERS.
  • Units may arrange volunteer groups to assist in sewing to support building unit connections prior to deployment, or MCFTB will arrange sewing support.
  • Please reach out to MCFTB at mcftbhh@usmc-mccs.org if you have any questions or requests.
